What is the need of Motorcycle Jeans or Pants?

Why You REALLY NEED MOTORCYCLE Jeans or PANTS?

Anybody can meet with an accident anywhere and while ridding on road chances are high. That's the reason when we ride, we should be covering our entire bodies. Not just our head and hands.  All too often, people forget about the lower half. Why is one part of our body less important than another? I don't know the answer to that question, because I value every inch of mine. Your hips, knees and feet are all impact points. Wearing a pant can offer your protection at your hips and knees.

I have put together detailed explanations of everything that you should know before buying a motorcycle jeans and pant. Read this before you make your next investment!

Anything calling itself a motorcycle pant should have some sort of abrasion resistant material or construction in areas that typically make contact with the ground (i.e. the butt, hips, and knees), and most pants will have some kind of padding or armor as well.Motorcycle jeans and pants in general are built with sturdier materials than casual wear (such as durable textiles and leather), and in particular, should have stronger construction to prevent separation of seams in a slide. Pants built for specific purposes, like dual-sport riding or touring, will often be made with materials and features for varying weather conditions as well, such as Gore-Tex lining or zippered vents, in addition to being crash worthy.

Fit

They should be a little bit long in standing position so that they aren't too short when you're sitting on the bike. If you ride a sport-bike, touring pants will be uncomfortable. If you're on a dual sport/upright bike, track pants will be uncomfortable. Make sure you sit on that bike and double-check how comfortable it is in riding position.

When you sit on the bike, your knee armor should sit right over you knee caps, with a couple inches above the knee. Your armor shouldn't move and when you walk, the leg shouldn't be so wide that your armor is able to move side to side either.

 MOTORCYCLE  JEANS / PANTS PURPOSE
Beyond the protection from road rash that any motorcycle pants should have, there is a wide variety of different pant styles available depending on where and how you’ll be riding. Let’s go over a few, how they differ, and the features that go into each type.

"Sweater weather is overrated. Let's start calling it jackets and hoodies weather."

Biker jackets and hoodies are regarded as a menswear classic which seems to be always in vogue. If you still have not got one in your wardrobe, it is time you strongly considered it. You could simply buy a high-quality motorcycle jacket or hoodie that not only infuses an element of style to your personality but is also crucial for safety while you are riding.

Motorcycle Jackets

A motorcycle jacket is really popular as it keeps you properly insulated and warm during the winter season. It helps you to make a style statement. Motorcycle jackets come in a plethora of materials including denim jackets and ballistic mesh. Denim jackets are great for the fall and the spring season. A motorcycle jacket that is made from ballistic mesh is best for the summer heat. You must use an authentic riding jacket.

Here are some of the chief reasons why should buy a long-lasting premium quality motorcycle  jacket.
  • High on Safety and Comfortable
A motorcycle jacket is great for offering protection to the rider from injury if there is an accident and from the harsh elements of weather. Most of these jackets come with standard padding in the maximum impact areas like the elbows and shoulders. This padding protection would be immensely helpful in preventing abrasions and burns in the event of a motorcycle crash. They give utmost comfort to the riders whether they are on a long-distance journey or just chilling out around the town. Motorcycle jackets keep you comfortable and safe from the heat, sun, wind and even bugs. So, they are truly comfortable and convenient to wear while travelling around the world.
  • The Style Element also a Fashion for the General Public
You could be a style icon simply by wearing a smart motorcycle jacket. These come in smart cuts and fits. Choose the right one for you and make a fashion statement wherever you go. Motorcycle jackets are highly fashionable and are regarded as a mainstream fashion outfit for several people worldwide. These trendy jackets fascinate even the non-riders who are too happy to wear them. These jackets are great while riding but they also are pretty useful even if you are not a rider.

Motorcycle Hoodies

Motorcycle hoodies are fast becoming a popular item in many riders' wardrobes. They are quick to put on, offer more protection than a standard sweatshirt or casual hoodie and allow you to still dress casual when you don’t want or need to look like a biker.
You may have noticed that when it comes to motorcycle protective hoodies you're generally limited to a color choice of black which is classy. But to have option in color is always good, you can add an urban flavor to your style.
  • A Whole New Feeling
Motorcycle hoodies give you a complete look. These hoodies are a staple for riders since time immemorial. However, if a non-rider wears one, he would get the feeling of an expert rider. Moreover, the kind of motorcycle hoodie, you would be choosing, you could even get a strut in the way you walk. These are simply excellent for safety, comfort and of course, fashion. They are the mainstream staple for motorcyclists all over the world. Opt for a simple design as that would be much easier for you to carry.

Safety of Rider

Ride Safely

Before you start riding a motorcycle you must first get the detail knowledge of  traffic rules of the country in which you will be ridding.
I will suggest you to do a Rider Safe Course, by doing this course you will learn key points a rider must follow while ridding. The course teaches the basic and advanced skills necessary for safe riding on roads.

If you can't join any motorcycle training course, don't worry
I will introduce you to the most important rules, that you must know while ridding.

Safety is top priority!

Operating a motorcycle takes different skills than driving a car; however, the laws of the road apply to every driver just the same. Knowing the road rules will help prepare you for safe driving and will help you long way.

  • Always wear a helmet
Wearing a helmet is the best way to protect against severe head injuries. Make sure you wear a face shield or protective eye wear helmet. A motorcycle rider not wearing a helmet is five times more likely to sustain a critical head injury.

  • Wear appropriate gear.
Make sure to wear protective gear and clothing that will minimize the amount of injuries in case of an accident or a skid. Wearing leather clothing, boots with nonskid soles, and gloves can protect your body from severe injuries. Consider attaching reflective tape to your clothing to make it easier for other drivers to see you.

Motorcycle road rules

Motorcycle riders, including moped and motor-trike riders, must follow the same road rules as other vehicles on Queensland roads. Most of the rules that apply to drivers also apply to motorcycle riders, for example, the give way rules, traffic light rules and speed limits. But there are some rules that specifically apply to motorcycle riders, including rules relating to:
  • Lane filtering rules
Lane filtering is when you ride your motorcycle at low speed between stationary or slow moving vehicles travelling in the same direction you are. The 2 lines or lanes of traffic must both be travelling in the same  direction. If one of the lines or lanes is a dedicated turning lane (left or  right) you must not lane filter using this lane.
  • Rules for riding on road shoulders
If you hold an open licence for the motorcycle you are riding, you can ride on road shoulders and in emergency stopping lanes on major roads—such as highways, freeways and motorways past stationary or slow-moving traffic. But there are some limit to it.

How To Experience Best Road Trip in Australia

Many people associate road trips with more domestic travel – it evokes thoughts of heading down the coast for the weekend, up to the snow during the winter or slowly making your way to another state for a holiday. This can be a great way to take in the sights and explore more than you ever would otherwise.

It’s always about how you get there than about the destination.

From winding coastal drives to rugged Outback sojourns that reveal the heart of the country, a long road trip is one of the most indulgent ways to experience the breadth of Australia’s wide open spaces and the vast diversity of flora and fauna not to mention the colorful characters you'll be sure to meet along the way.

Hitting the open road for adventure is exhilarating and also overwhelming. You will be in      direct control of the trip, from start to finish. There are plenty of ways to make your road trip experience best, some of which I have outlined here:

  • Take your time and explore!
To make my road trip more fun, I always spread the trip out onto more days than I need. After all, on a road trip, the journey is always the real destination. Many people often keep to the major cities and tourist areas. Whilst there is nothing wrong with this, it does somewhat limit your perspective to explore more. By taking your time, you will broaden your horizons and have far more authentic and unexpected experiences.

  •  Plan, but be spontaneous
Make sure that plan isn’t too rigid. Although it’s important to have some general direction, it’s also important to remember that the best times on road trips can be the times you can’t predict, and don’t ever expect.
